It's Wednesday! What's happening in the AME Library?

Our Online Spring Scholastic Book Fair is going on NOW through May 16th!

Get books for summer reading, books for your end-of-year teacher gift (they LOVE new books for their classroom libraries!), books for and from far-away relatives!

You can set up an ewallet and share the link to it with family members who would like to contribute to your child's book-buying loot!  All the information you need can be found on the book fair homepage:

Meanwhile, in the library:

The WHOLE DISTRICT was invited to share a virtual author visit with Aaron Reynolds yesterday, thanks to the Great Oaks Elementary librarian, Mrs. Grindle!

We listened to Mr Reynolds read-aloud Creepy Pair of Underwear, talk about his new book that's on the Bluebonnet Nominee list for 21-22, and tell us about his path to becoming an author.  You can buy his books via this link from BookPeople, here in Austin!

PreK is listening to books about using your voice and problem solving like Little Taco Truck, The Most Magnificent Thing, and Ogilvy.

Kindergarten through second graders are making their summer reading plans already!  We are exploring the why, what, where, when and who of beating the summer slide by reading at least five books over the summer.

The presentation will be shared on the library website soon, so parents and students can click through the many reading programs offered in our area over summer break.

Third and fourth graders are booktalking and making sure they have something to read when they are done testing next week.  This is our last week for checkout!

Fifth graders are getting IB Exhibition project support during their library time.

All books are due back by May 14th!  If you are learning at home, please come by the portable side of the school to drop off your books in the green bin outside.  We will start drawing for prizes for clear accounts on the 14th as well!

The school year may be winding down, Dillos...but the reading never ends!
